The Hong Kong kitchen's all-purpose savoury powder; a tin lasts a year. A pinch gives greens in stock, a stir-fry or a marinade the taste of chicken broth. Some cooks think it has replaced real stock; others say they cannot cook without it.

Hong Kong (Knorr). At Asian grocers, Knorr 1kg tins for example; supermarkets do not stock it, but a supermarket chicken stock powder, Massel for example, stands in.
