Baby wombok

The small, tender wombok: sweet and without a trace of fibre, done in stock in ten minutes. Australians call the full-size cabbage wombok and it is everywhere; the baby one is an Asian-grocer line, and a quarter of a full wombok, hearts only, makes the same dish.
Preparation
Halve and wash; blanch, then simmer in stock.
Origin
Northern China. Wombok is at Coles and Woolworths all year; baby wombok at Asian grocers and some Woolworths, best in winter.
