Ground coffee
Café coffee is a dark, robusta-heavy ground blend brewed strong in the same cloth bag as the tea and served with evaporated milk and sugar; 鴛鴦 is about seven parts tea to three parts coffee. The Hong Kong café blends have not surfaced in Australia, so the exact blend is a specialist item; any dark-roast ground coffee brewed strong does the job at home, and a Vietnamese robusta ground (Trung Nguyên, for example, from Vietnamese grocers in Cabramatta, Springvale and Inala) has the bitterness closest to the shop's.
